The Dumas eighth grade Football teams closed out their season Tuesday night in style, with both teams defeating the Perryton Rangers. 

The B team took the field first and with the offensive line blocking for Andrew Gonzalez, Brandon Dawkins, and Dylan Jones, dominated the ball game.  The Defense proved just good, and stubborn, giving up just 6 points.  Everyone got playing time and quite a bit of it.  The night was capped off with a Jubentino Mendoza’s one handed interception to seal the game in the fourth quarter.  The B team ended the season with a 14 - 6, and 6 – 2 overall record.  They had a great season.

The A team took the field next and the result was much the same, as they jumped all over the Rangers, 22-0 at the half.  The Offensive line opened up holes all night and protected quarterback Rylan Gerber, the best they had all season.  Juan Salcido, succeeded from the blocking, scoring 4 TD’s on the ground, while Gerber hooked up with Miguel Mendez for a 40 yard TD toss.  The Demon Defense again had another great game, giving up just 8 points, Led by Nathan Ruiz, David Zuniga, Braden Adcock, Trace Sheldon, and Efrain Gonzalez.  They finished out the night with a 30 – 8 win, and finish the season at 4-4 overall record.  They had a great season as well.

Both teams improved over the course of the season, and the coaching staff was very pleased with the effort, fight, and pride they played with all season.  Looking forward to great things from this bunch of kids.
